A R O Enterprises, Inc., located in Elk Grove, Illinois, prides itself on being a family-owned and operated business since 1971. Ted Blakeslee, now the owner of the company is following in his father’s footsteps. Ted grew up in the family snow business and prides A R O Enterprises, Inc. on its devotion to service, value and reputation. Serving the North Western suburbs of Chicago, A R O has grown into a successful business, developing best practice methods and services of the highest quality.

Equipment

A & O Snowplowing Service, a division of A R O Enterprises, Inc. has designed, engineered and maintained a fleet of small to large trucks, loaders and salters, because the “Job” of snowplowing is no longer as simple as putting a plow on a truck. It has truly become a science. 40 years of testing designs on trucks and salters has earned A R O the most efficient snow management equipment in the industry. Whether is being a single truck or a large articulated loader, equipment is ready to go. If ever a breakdown, A R O has backup equipment to make repairs in-house. A R O develops and operates its own in-house liquid deicing methods to help reduce salt damage and present a cleaner property to clients.

Snow Production

A R O does not subcontract any of the production or management of their snow services, because as we know Chicago snow storms can go from a predictable 2” to a blizzard of 22”. It’s because of this level of unpredictability that Ted doesn’t trust his sites to part-time hired help as many contractors do. Work must be completed by well-trained staff. In this way, Ted and his team can keep service lean and effective while providing competitive pricing. Ted can often be found on-site with his crews or clients at any given time of the night to make sure quality and standards are being met.
